Virgil is a french analog photographer who likes to say he mainly shoots subjects that aren't "subjects" — from dull buildings and "boring" street landscapes to minimal architectural stuff. He focuses on contrast and composition through geometry and the use of pushed black & white film. Although he does shoot a lot of classical street photography in his day-to-day life.
As a darkroom printer, he likes to spend hours in his bathroom lab to get the right tonal range or the perfect framing.
Founder of the PUSH collective, he tends to work alone but share a lot with friends and fellow photographers. And beer too.
